Customs Payments Growes by 40%

In general,  customs payments in Ukraine  grew by 40% for the current year. The value added a tax on imported goods, has risen almost by 3%: from 13,7% in December 2015 to 16,6% in August 2016. The excise tax in the fall of this year grew by 1,5% in comparison with December of last year: to an indicator in 3,2%. Let’s remind that according to the Law, treat excise goods:

  • alcohol ethyl and other spirit distillates, alcoholic beverages, beer;
  • tobacco products, tobacco and industrial substitutes of tobacco;
  • fuel;
  • cars, bodies to them, the trail cars and semitrailer trucks, motorcycles, vehicles intended for transportation of 10 people and more, vehicles for transportation of goods;
  • electrical energy.

It should be noted that at the beginning of 2016 decrease in the excise tax was observed: to 1,5% in January. However, after innovations in the Tax code of Ukraine and start of  implementation electronic system of fuel realization, the excise tax grew more, than twice.


According to Fiscal service of Ukraine, change of the system of the taxation in Ukraine brought in the government budget about 7 billion hryvnias (Ukranian currency) of additional receipts for the period the current year.
